What 'consent' means in a clinical setting

In clinical psychology, consent extends beyond data processing to include consent for care, assessment, and treatment. ZYENEX CPMS captures consent as structured data, distinguishing between care consent and any future research consent requirements.

Care consent vs research consent

Care consent is captured as part of the intake process and covers standard clinical operations. Research consent, if applicable, is handled separately and requires explicit additional consent records. The system is designed to maintain this distinction clearly.

Consent capture and revocation

Consent is recorded digitally with timestamps and attribution. Clients or authorised representatives may revoke consent through the deploying organisation. Revocation is logged and triggers appropriate workflow adjustments.

Audit trail and records integrity

All consent records maintain a full audit trail including creation, modification, and access history. Records integrity is maintained through version control and tamper-evident logging.
